Enslaved in gladiatorial school far from home, the newly christened Spartacus must try to suppress his desire for vengeance when his new master promises to reunite him with his wife. If he can get Spartacus to perfect the brutal skill he showed in his first fight in the arena and complete the training to become a real gladiator, Batiatus might forge himself a new money earner to fend off his business rival and lessen the outstanding debts that threaten to bury him.
