La quarantena di Henry Cavill, star di The Witcher

il noto attore fa presente di aver ripreso una sua vecchia passione ed ha provato ad iniziarne una nuova .

Siamo abituati a vederlo ormai nelle vesti del noto Witcher Geralt Di Rivia, ma l’attore Henry Cavill ha sempre dato modo di far capire di avere un lato “nerd” già con le prime affermazioni ancora prima di ottenere quella parte.

Ricordiamo infatti che il noto attore fece presente di essere un grande appassionato della saga di The Witcher e di aver letto sia i libri che giocato ai videogame, poco dopo ha fatto sapere di aver ottenuto la parte. Diciamo pure che effettivamente se la meritava perché ha mostrato sin da subito entusiasmo per il personaggio e la serie in generale.

Considering we are, both, going through the Easter period, and going through The Lockdown, I figured it a good time to put a silver lining onto the cloud that is some of the darker moments during this time. So I've decided to polish some old skills and try my hand at some new ones! It is a time of rebirth after all. So, as you can see here, the obvious might look a little bit like a tiny helmet…which it is. One of my almost life long hobbies, that I've been following but not actively doing, is this. A company called Games Workshop…or plastic crack as "we" call it. Genuinely can't get enough of the lore they have built over the decades. They have been some of my most enthused reads! If you were in denial about me being a geek before, you can't hide from it now. Also, in the background of this photo, there may just be some completely new skills I'm working on…..or there may not be, so all of your eye squinting and attempts at digital unfocusing will be in vain….orrrr maybe they won't. I also wanted to take this opportunity to thank, from the bottom of my heart, all of the NHS (National Health Service, here in the UK) and healthcare workers worldwide, for your unceasing efforts to protect us. I imagine it might be feeling a little rough right now, but you Ladies and Gents are absolutely smashing it! Keep it up! You got this. Ecco confermarsi di avere questo lato nerd con un bel post di instagram dove fa presente che, per passare il tempo in quarantena, si è incaricato di dipingere le statuine di Warhammer 40000. Il post in questione dice:

Considerando che stiamo attraversando il periodo di pasqua in quarantena, ho capito che poteva essere un buon momento per dipingere una linea d’argento tra le nuvole di questo oscuro momento. Così ho deciso di rispolverare vecchie abilità e destreggiarmi in qualcosa di nuovo. È tempo di farlo rinascere. Così, da quello che vedete, ovviamente quello potrebbe sembrare un piccolo elmetto..cosa che è. Uno degli hobby più vecchi della mia vita, che ho perseguito ma mai praticato. Una compagnia chiamata Games Workshop o “spazzatura di plastica” come noi la chiamiamo. Sinceramente non ne ho mai abbastanza della tradizione che hanno costruito nelle decadi. Sono tra le letture che più mi hanno entusiasmato (riferito alle opere di Warhammer). Se avevate dubbi sul fatto che io fossi un nerd, non potete negarlo ora. Inoltre, nel retroscena di questa foto, ci sono altre nuove abilità in cui mi sto cimentando…o potrebbe non esserci, potete provare a sfocarlo con i vostri occhi con tentativi vani…

Volevo anche cogliere l’occasione per ringraziare, dal profondo del mio cuore, tutto l’NHS (Servizio Sanitario Nazionale, qui in UK) e gli operatori sanitari di tutto il mondo, per i vostri incessanti sforzi di proteggerci. Immagino che potrebbe sembrare un po’ brusco ora come ora, ma voi Ladies & Gents state assolutamente colpendo con forza! Continuate così! Ce l’avete fatta. “Aspetta un secondo” vi sento pronunciare…” se ha entrambe le mani nella foto, chi la sta scattando?” nuove abilità, amico mio, nuove abilità

Insomma Cavill menziona sia la sua vecchia passione per Warhammer dipingendo le statue, sia una passione nuova in cui sta provando a cimentarsi ed infatti invita le persone a guardare meglio quello che c’è sullo sfondo della foto. Personalmente da quello che i miei occhi hanno visto posso dirvi che Henry si sta impegnando nella scrittura però se fosse un libro od una sceneggiatura (dato il suo lavoro potrebbe starci) questo non lo so con precisione.
